Dr. Kiana Karbasi, DPM, AACFAS, DABPM
Dr. Karbasi completed her undergraduate studies at Ryerson University in Toronto, where she earned her degree in Civil Engineering. She decided to pursue medicine after gaining two years of engineering experience. She completed her second bachelor degree in biology at Boston University. Dr. Karbasi attended the New York College of Podiatric Medicine, where she was able to rotate through and treat patients in some of the top healthcare facilities in New York City. While attending school, Dr. Karbasi was inducted into the prestigious Pi Mu Delta National Service Society. Upon graduation, she completed residency at Atlantic Health Morristown Medical Center in Morristown, NJ. This is the official healthcare partner of the New York Jets. She served as chief resident in her final year. This residency was dedicated to all facets of podiatric medicine, allowing its residents to gain a vast amount of skill and knowledge. During her training, she performed surgical procedures dedicated to foot and ankle ailments, including complex reconstruction of the lower extremity.
Dr. Karbasi is board certified by the American Board of Podiatric Medicine. She is board qualified in foot surgery and reconstructive rearfoot and ankle surgery by the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery. She specializes in trauma, reconstruction with use of external fixations and arthroscopic procedures.
Dr. Karbasi is excited to be a Floridian, and is eager to serve the great community of Avalon Park and its surrounding areas. She wants to help patients maintain a healthy and active lifestyle, and to continue to enjoy the activities that they desire.
