Dr. Miller grew up in a household surrounded by family members who dedicated their lives to helping others. His father was a police officer and his mother was a registered nurse working in the emergency room. After hearing stories from the daily encounters that his mother experienced, Dr. Miller knew that he wanted to dedicate his life to medicine. He attended the Johns Hopkins University for his undergraduate studies, and played football for the varsity team. While there, he suffered and injury to his ankle. He sought help from an expert, and was cared for by a podiatrist. After seeing the positive impact that the field of podiatry had on its patients, Dr. Miller knew that podiatry was his field of choice. He attended the New York College of Podiatric Medicine, where he graduated in the top 10% of his class and was inducted into the Pi Delta National Honor Society. Upon graduation, he completed residency at Atlantic Health Morristown Medical Center in Morristown, NJ. This is the official healthcare partner of the New York Jets. He served as chief resident in his final year. This residency was dedicated to all facets of podiatric medicine, allowing its residents to gain a vast amount of skill and knowledge. During his training, he performed over 1200 surgical procedures dedicated to foot and ankle ailments, including complex reconstruction of the lower extremity. After residency, he completed his fellowship at the Foot and Ankle Specialists of Ohio, located in Mentor, Ohio. This fellowship was focused on gaining advanced surgical training including limb reconstruction, treatment of trauma and deformity correction, along with Charcot and diabetic limb salvage. Dr. Miller continued to practice in Ohio for two years after fellowship, adding to his clinical and surgical skills. Dr. Miller is board certified in foot surgery and reconstructive rearfoot and ankle surgery by the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgeons. Furthermore, he is board certified by the American Board of Podiatric Medicine. He holds certifications in arthroscopic surgery of the foot and ankle along with total ankle joint replacement. He is happy to continue his medical career closer to his family in Florida. Dr. Miller is excited to be a part of the Avalon Park and greater Orlando community, and wants to help patients get back to the lifestyle they desire.
